How do I clean my granite countertops?

SOAPY WATER AND SOFT CLOTH

Yes, it's that easy!

The best way to clean granite countertops is by mixing a little dish detergent and warm water. This soapy mixture followed by rinsing and then drying with microfiber cloths will take care of the daily maintenance of your counters.

There are many products on the market that claim to clean granite. But there is no need to spend money on cleaning products!  Granite manufacturers and industry professionals, all agree that the best and safest way to clean your granite is with soapy water.

Helpful tips to avoid stains and to remove stains from your granite countertop!

  • Remember to wipe up spills when they happen, avoid letting spills sit and absorb into your granite.  Even though granite is known to be stain resilient it is better to be safe than sorry. Certain foods and liquids can stain porous granite, it also depends on your granite color
  • If you do get a stain on your granite, we suggest creating a paste with baking soda and water for oil-based stains, or baking soda and hydrogen peroxide for water-based stains. Slather the paste over the stain and allow it to sit on the surface for several hours, covered. When you're ready to clean it up, wipe away the paste, and clean with a warm wash cloth and a small amount of dish soap.
